Giving Back
The Cyclades Cup exists because of the islands and communities that welcome us. Antiparos is not simply the setting for the regatta – it is a living place, with its own rhythms, traditions, and relationship to the sea.

From the culture that shapes everyday island life to the natural environment that defines sailing here, we believe the Cyclades Cup carries a responsibility to engage with its surroundings thoughtfully and with care. Sailing in the Cyclades is a privilege, and our aim is always that the regatta contributes positively to the place it calls home.

Giving back is not something that sits alongside the Cyclades Cup – it is part of how the regatta exists.
Connected to Our Island
Antiparos forms part of a much older Cycladic story, deeply connected to the cultural and maritime history of the Aegean. This identity is not something preserved at a distance – it is lived, visible in the island’s architecture, traditions, and the way people come together.

During the Cyclades Cup, this living heritage comes into focus. Through our support of the Cycladic Identity Initiative of the Museum of Cycladic Art, the regatta creates space for cultural exchange alongside sailing, bringing together local residents, visitors, and cultural voices to explore what makes the Cyclades distinct.

By supporting conversations, walks, and shared experiences around places such as the Venetian Castle of Antiparos, the Cyclades Cup remains connected to the island’s deeper cultural rhythms, respecting both its history and the people shaping its future.

Rooted in Community
Antiparos Primary School is at the heart of island life and plays a unique role in the Cyclades Cup. Each year, the school opens its gates to host the regatta’s closing night, welcoming sailors, crews, families, and locals to come together around long tables in the schoolyard.
It’s a special moment in the social life of the regatta, set within a space that belongs first and foremost to the community. Our support of Antiparos Primary School reflects a belief in strengthening educational opportunities for children growing up on the island, and in sustaining a place that serves Antiparos well beyond race week.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Sailors
A love of sailing is what brings the Cyclades Cup together, and sharing that passion with younger generations is an important part of the regatta’s purpose.

Through our connection with the local sailing club, children are given opportunities to engage with the sport beyond the water – from talks and informal conversations with Olympic and professional sailors, to time spent on board yachts, offering a first-hand glimpse of where sailing can lead.

Alongside these experiences, we remain committed to supporting the club in ways that help sustain its role within the local community and encourage young sailors to continue developing their skills and confidence on the water.

Supporting Cultural Expression
Island life is shaped by the people who live it every day, and the Cyclades Cup is proud to support local groups that contribute to Antiparos’ cultural and social fabric.

Across the regatta’s first two editions, this has included traditional dancers in the inaugural year, followed by the island’s cheerleading club in the second – each performing at the closing party and becoming part of the shared celebration that brings the week to a close.

Supporting these groups is part of staying connected to the wider community that welcomes the Cyclades Cup. It’s a way of recognising the cultural life that exists here year-round and ensuring the regatta feels rooted in Antiparos, not separate from it.
Respecting Our Environment
The sea lies at the heart of the Cyclades Cup. It shapes the sailing, the islands, and the experience of being here, and with that comes a responsibility to move through this environment with care and respect.

Our approach is guided by awareness and stewardship – operating thoughtfully, minimising our impact where we can, and supporting efforts that help protect the waters and coastlines that sustain island life and sailing culture. Caring for the environment is not something we claim to have solved, but an ongoing commitment that continues to shape how the regatta exists.

A Shared Commitment
The Cyclades Cup exists because of the community, culture, and environment of Antiparos.
Supporting them is not an add-on – it’s fundamental to who we are and how the regatta continues to grow.
